GGSC Online Courses for Educators

Do you need specific strategies and easy-to-implement practices to help you foster social and emotional well-being in your classroom and school? Do you want to strengthen your own social, emotional, and ethical development?

Our suite of practical, self-paced courses includes mini-courses for increasing your foundational knowledge in the fields of social and emotional learning, mindfulness, and character education. In addition, you can build on that knowledge as you explore and apply research-based concepts, strategies, and practices in our more comprehensive course, Teaching and Learning for the Greater Good.

Each of our courses also encourages deeper engagement with our Greater Good in Education (GGIE) website, an online resource that features over 200 evidence-based strategies and practices for the social, emotional, and ethical development of students and educators.

“We scientists need partnerships with organizations like the GGSC because we’re not experts in reaching loads of people on a regular basis. Providing sustained delivery of content that’s thoughtful, not over-the-top, appropriately measured, and empirically grounded—that’s what the GGSC does better than anybody.”

Barbara Fredrickson, Ph.D., Kenan Distinguished Professor of Psychology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
