This conference aims to discuss ways of harnessing compassion on an individual level, and on an organization level, to explore ways of maintaining compassion even during times of fatigue.

Some of the keynote speakers include Laura Van Dernoot Lipsky, author of “Trauma Stewardship”, who will be discussing how humans are impacted by exposure to the suffering, hardship, crisis and trauma of humans, other living beings, and the planet itself, Dr. Rachel Fischer, who’s work focuses on the needs of public service personnel in high risk areas such as human and social services, law enforcement, corrections, emergency services, and health care, Dr. Gabor Mate, who is an expert on behavioural and learning problems, addictions, attention deficit disorder and the role of stress in health and illness, and more keynote speakers as well.
