Founded in 1967 and recognized as world leader in educational research, Project Zero, in conjunction with the Center for the Advancement and Study of International Education (CASIE), will bring internationally-renowned researchers to a conference co-hosted by Lick-Wilmerding High School in San Francisco.

With its over-arching theme of Making, Thinking, Understanding, the conference will invite educators to reflect deeply on ways to create and sustain engaging, enriching and rigorous learning opportunities. In exploring tools, strategies, and frameworks developed at Project Zero, we will take inspiration from the host school’s goal of “developing the head, heart, and hands” of students.

Educators from all grade levels and subjects, especially from early childhood, elementary, middle and high schools, are encouraged to attend, as are educators from all types of schools and organizations. The conference will take place all day Friday, October 10, and Saturday, October 11, and half a day on Sunday, October 12. Throughout the 2.5 days, in major talks and interactive courses, prominent Project Zero researchers–such as Howard Gardner and David Perkins–and educators from around the world will address major questions about the direction of education.

The full-conference registration fee includes a reception/book signing event on Friday evening as well as lunch on Friday and Saturday and light breakfast and refreshments daily.
Speakers include:
