Empathy and Compassion in Society

A conference on empathy and compassion, geared to education, health, and social care professionals.

This two-day conference, preceded by a Youth Gathering on November 22, aims to give professionals who work in education, healthcare, social care, local authorities, and the public sector a fresh understanding and experience of the ways to develop empathy and compassion. This event will feature case studies from various sectors to highlight the benefits of training in empathy and compassion, as well as to show how cultivating these skills can enhance professional and personal satisfaction, self-esteem and well-being, and relieve stress. It will feature a roster of international speakers, including Karen Armstrong, Mary Gordon, Paul Gilbert, Tania Singer, and Paul Ekman.
