Here’s How to Keep Up with the GGSC on Facebook—and Beyond!

January 22, 2018

As you may have read, the social media giant Facebook recently changed the way its posts appear in your news feed. A big part of that change is that you’ll probably be seeing fewer posts from organizations like the Greater Good Science Center.

But if you value the science that we bring to you every day, there are some steps you can take to continue seeing us on Facebook and in your inbox!

1.) Sign up for our newsletters. Hands down, getting a newsletter delivered to your inbox is the best way to stay on top of our current work. Our general Greater Good magazine newsletter arrives every Wednesday; our education, parenting, workplace, and Greater Good in Action newsletters arrive monthly; our events newsletters are sent out about six times per year and focus on events produced by the Greater Good Science Center, though we also occasionally highlight our partners’ events.

2.) Follow us on Facebook and ask to see our content. If you haven’t yet “followed” us on Facebook, head to our Facebook page and click on the “Follow” button just under the large image at the top of the page. Once you’ve done that, the text on that button will change to “Following”; then click on it to see a drop-down menu. Select “See First” to be able to find our content in your Facebook news feed. You can also chose to turn notifications on, that way you’ll know when we post new content!

3.) Select our site as your home page. If you want to make the GGSC part of your daily routine, consider making Greater Good magazine your browser homepage. Exact instructions vary by browser, but you can generally do this through the “Preferences” button.

4. Finally, if you love our work, share our content! It just takes one click to share to Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn! You’ll see a sharing bar on the left-hand side of each article.

Thank you for all you do to support our work!
