Help Us Uncover the Mysteries of Awe Across the Globe!

April 1, 2015

Project Awe is a University of California, Berkeley research project designed to explore the psychology of awe. Awe is a powerful and life-changing emotion that influences our health and well-being. To understand more about this powerful emotion, we are conducting the first-ever worldwide study of awe. We want to know how cultures shape people’s experiences of awe. Is awe a universal emotion, experienced similarly in different cultures, or do people across the globe have very different experiences of awe?

To answer these questions, we need your help! Please take a few minutes to go to our website and tell us about one of your memorable awe experiences. We need all the help we can get, so when you are done, we’d be very grateful if you sent the survey link to 5-10 friends. Starting June 15, you can check back on our website to see our results and discover for yourself how awe is experienced around the world.

English isn’t your native language? No problem! The survey is translated into several languages, including Chinese, German, Japanese, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, & Russian, with more to come.

Ready to help us out? Tell us all about your awe here!
