Happiness & Its Causes

November 19, 2008

Happiness is coming to San Francisco next week, in the form of the two-day "Happiness & Its Causes" conference at the Westin hotel on Monday and Tuesday. The conference will feature some of the world's leading scientific experts on happiness, including Greater Good Executive Editor Dacher Keltner and the Greater Good Science Center's executive director, Christine Carter. (Both will be presenting on Tuesday.)

Dacher, Christine, and more than 40 others will share what they know about how to cultivate happiness and spread it to others. I don't know that the event's attendees will represent the happinest people on Earth, but they are among the smartest, and they certainly make for an eclectic program. When else will you have the chance to attend a conference featuring world-renowned psychologists, Olympic athletes, the Dalai Lama's former translator, and Google's Jolly Good Felllow?

It's not too late to register for the conference or any of the pre- or post-conference workshops.
