Greater Good Nominated for Independent Press Award

April 3, 2009

We're proud to announce that Greater Good has been nominated for a 2009 Utne Independent Press Award in the category of "Best Social/Cultural Coverage." This is Greater Good's third nomination for an Independent Press Award, given out every year by the Utne Reader to honor the best independent publications in the country, selected from the pool of 1,300 periodicals that Utne receives every year.

It recognizes all the work that went into our issues over the past year, including our essays on play, prejudice, trust, and the arts. Utne will announce the IPA winners at a ceremony next month.

Thanks to all of you–staff, readers, and others–for your many contributions and invaluable support. We look forward to sharing much more good news with you in the future.
