Interested in researching compassion and healthcare? Consider applying for the Dignity Health-CCARE Fellowship!
The Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE) at the Stanford University School of Medicine seeks an applied science researcher to focus on conducting research related to compassion and healthcare. The ideal researcher will focus on patient care outcomes as they are impacted by the expression of compassion in the healthcare setting. Additional research related to the well-being of patient care providers and others in healthcare settings will be considered, with priority given to research that addresses patient care directly. The Dignity Health CCARE Fellow will write a detailed research proposal for a two-year project to be conducted at Stanford University in conjunction with Dignity Health. The qualified candidate will have a thorough understanding of the science of empathy and compassion and a background in health care or health care organizations, as well as training in multiple research methods and a demonstrated history of research at the level of M.D., M.P.H., or Ph.D.
